Ramachandi Temple

The ancient Ramachandi Temple is located on the beautiful Puri-Konark Marine Drive in Odisha, where the Kushabhadra River meets the sea. It is home to Goddess Ramachandi, a powerful form of Goddess Durga who protects the entire Konark area. Local stories say this temple is even older than the famous Konark Sun Temple. According to legend, when an invader named Kalapahad came to destroy it, the Goddess tricked him by dressing up as a maid and escaping. Today, people from all over come here to celebrate big festivals like Durga Puja, Dussehra, and a special 16-day prayer ritual called Sola Puja.
