Ramchaura Temple is a famous Hindu temple located in Hajipur, Bihar dedicated to Lord Rama. This temple is located in Rambhadra near Helabazar. Ramchaura Temple is a historical and religious place in Hajipur, Bihar, which is associated with Lord Shri Ram. This temple is believed to be related to the Ramayana period, and the footprints of Lord Shri Ram are worshipped here. According to folklore, Lord Rama stopped at this place while going to Janakpur and left his footprints here, which are still worshipped. It is believed that Lord Shri Ram had come here while going to Janakpur with his guru Vishwamitra. He got his Mundan Sanskar done on this mound situated on the banks of river Ganga. For this reason, this place was named 'Ramchaura'. Footprints of Lord Shri Ram are imprinted here, which are a center of faith for the devotees. The temple was built in the 17th century during the reign of Mughal ruler Shah Jahan.
