Shri Bajreshwari Devi Temple, also known as Kangra Devi Temple, is a famous Shakti Peeth located in Kangra town of Himachal Pradesh. It is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas and is dedicated to Goddess Vajreshwari, a form of Goddess Durga. The temple is known for its architecture, historical significance and Navratri festivals. Known in mythology since the time of Sri Krishna, but believed to have been rebuilt by the Pandavas in the Mahabharata Damaged by the invasions of Mahmud Ghaznavi in 1009 AD and Sikander Lodhi in the 15th century—remained under rubble in the 1905 earthquake, rebuilt in 1920
