About Shikari Mata Mandir
Shikari Devi Temple is a famous temple located in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. This temple is situated at an altitude of 11,000 feet and its most unique feature is that it has no roof, the mother is seated under the open sky. It is believed that this temple was established by the Pandavas during their exile. Sage Markandeya did penance here, after which Maa Durga was established as a Shakti form. Two main festivals are celebrated in the temple, the first is Navratri in which a local fair is held, in which devotees come from far and wide.
