Jyotiba Temple, also known as Jyotiba Hill, is a famous Hindu temple located in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. It is dedicated to the Jyotirlinga form of Lord Shiva and is believed to be one of the 12 Jyotirlingas. The temple is situated on a hilltop and is surrounded by lush green landscape. If you want to attend the aarti, it is best to reach the temple early in the morning. The crowd is more on Sundays, so keep the time in mind. Plan accommodation and transport before coming on festivals. Jyotiba Temple is located 18 km northwest of Kolhapur. According to tradition, the original Kedareshwar temple was built by Navaji Sayaji. In 1730, Ranoji Shinde built the present Jyotiba Temple at the site of the original temple. This temple was built by Kedar Shilpkars, who were famous for their craftsmanship. The interior of the temple is ancient and there are other temples and lighthouses in the complex.
