The Temple of Hanuman ji is located near the bank of Ganga and Yamuna Sangam in Prayagraj (Allahabad), Uttar Pradesh, where the lied down idol of Hanuman ji is worshipped. The Temple is also known as the Lete Huye Hanuman temple or Bade Hanumanji temple. This is the only temple in the world which is built below the ground and the seat of the idol of Lord Hanuman is tilted backwards. The idol of Lord Hanuman is 8.10 feet below the temple and it is believed that the entire goodness of Sangam is completed only after the darshan of Hanuman ji. The temple is located in the Kumbh Mela Ground. Also the festivals like Narak Chaturdashi, Hanuman Jayanti and Ram Navami are the famous festivals celebrated at Bade Hanuman Ji Temple. The best time to visit Shri Bade Hanuman Ji Mandir is the month of October to March.
