About Shri Chhind Dham Hanuman Mandir

Shri Chhind Dham Hanuman Mandir, also known as Chhind Wale Hanuman Ji Mandir, is a historic and miraculous religious Hindu temple located in Chhind village of Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh. The temple is famous for the miraculous idol of Lord Hanuman. originally, the idol was about one foot high, and now it is about five feet high, symbolising the growing faith and miracles associated with the site. It is believed that it fulfils the true wishes of the devotees. The temple is more than 200 years old. Devotees often offer coconuts wrapped in red cloth, which are placed in front of the idol. Once their wish is fulfilled, the coconut is taken back. A unique tradition for devotees is to visit the temple on five consecutive Tuesdays. It is believed that such consecutive visits fulfill their wishes. The calm atmosphere of the temple and the presence of a 500-year-old Peepal tree further enhance its spiritual ambiance. The main festival of this temple is Hanuman Jayanti, which is celebrated with great pomp and show by the devotees. On this special festival, special prayers and Bhajans are organized. And on the auspicious occasion of Ramnavami, special events are organized in the temple, in which a huge crowd of devotees is seen.
