Shri Krishna Vrundavana Temple

About Shri Krishna Vrundavana Temple

Shri Krishna Vrundavana Temple in San Jose, California—established July 6, 2013—marks the sixth North American branch of Udupi’s Puthige Matha by His Holiness Shri Suguneendra Teertha Swamiji. Managed by the nonprofit Sujnana Religious & Charitable Foundation (SRCF), the temple adheres to Dvaita philosophy, offering pujas thrice daily to Udupi Shri Krishna, Mukhyaprana (Sri Hanuman), and Raghavendra Swamy. Nestled at 43 Sunol Street, downtown San Jose, it's open daily from 7 AM–1 PM and 5–8 PM (extended to 2 PM on weekends). Devotees can attend morning “Maha Pooja,” midday “Madhyahna,” and evening “Saayam” rituals, along with weekly rites—Rudrabhisheka (Mon), Vishnu Sahasranama recitation (Wed), and Panchamrutha abhisheka (Sat). The temple also facilitates life-cycle ceremonies (samskaras), homams, religious services at home, and housewarming rituals. Spiritual and community-focused, this centre—often praised for its peaceful ambience and knowledgeable priests—is a cultural hub for Bay Area Hindus, preserving Udupi traditions far from India .
