About Shri Mata Renuka Ji Temple
Shri Renukaji Temple is a famous religious place located in Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh. This temple is dedicated to Renuka, the mother of Lord Parashurama. This temple is located on the banks of Renuka Lake and it is believed that Lord Parashurama comes here to meet his mother. Mata Renuka ji is the mother of Lord Parashurama. According to mythology, Renuka ji was extremely devoted to her husband and ascetic. She performed severe penance with her husband Rishi Jamadagni and son Parashurama. Her life is considered a symbol of sacrifice, power and devotion. Extremely sacred and peaceful atmosphere. The temple of Parashurama ji is also located in the temple premises. Near the temple, a centuries-old fair (Renuka Ji Fair) is organized every year in the month of Kartik (November).
