Shri Parleshwar Temple is located in Vile Parle East in the Mumbai district of Maharashtra, Shri Parleshwar Temple is one of the oldest temples and it is believed that this place has been named Parle from the name Parleshwar, which reflects the deep historical and cultural roots of this temple. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva in the form of Shiva Linga. This temple is one of the 300 years old temples which has great spiritual significance among the people here. According to the legend, the Shiva Linga in this temple is Swayambhu. This temple was discovered centuries ago by the rural people, after which a temple was built here and with time this temple has become a spiritual center. From the peaceful structure of the temple, small but beautifully carved sanctum sanctorum has been built in this temple along with Lord Shiva, the idols of Lord Ganesha, Mother Goddess Durga and Lord Hanuman are also included in this temple, which has made this temple a place of complete devotion. The temple is especially crowded in the month of Shravan and during festivals like Mahashivaratri day when thousands of devotees come to the temple to seek prayers and blessings. Due to its deep connection with history, Shri Parleshwar Temple has become a favorite place for the devotees.
