About Shri Pitambara Peeth

Shri Pitambara Peeth is a famous Hindu temple located in Datia, Madhya Pradesh. It is dedicated to Goddess Baglamukhi, who is also known as Pitambara Devi. Mainly dedicated to Goddess Baglamukhi (Pitambara), along with idols of Goddess Dhumavati, Lord Vankhandeshwar Shiva, Hanuman, Kalbhairav, Parashurama etc. The ashram premises also has a Sanskrit library where books on Sadhana and Tantra points are available. The ashram promotes Sanskrit language and organises annual debate programmes. This Siddhapeeth is believed to be particularly fruitful as the goddess of “attainment of royal power and destruction of enemies”. Many big politicians (like Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Jyotiraditya Scindia etc.) have received blessings here. It is said that during the 1962 Sino-Indian War, 1965 and 1971 wars, and the Kargil campaign, the protection of the country was ensured by performing a 51-kundiya yajna.
