Sri Ranganatha Swamy Temple is a 400-year-old Hindu temple located in Jiyaguda, Hyderabad. Sri Ranganatha is a Hindu god well-known in South India. The resting place of Lord Vishnu, one of the foremost of Hindu gods. His companion is Goddess Lakshmi, also known as Ranganayaki. It is one of the most sacred of the Ranganatha temples. The temple was built in 1600 A.D., but the builder's history is unknown. In 1861, Seth Shivlal Pitti, a Rajasthani, bought the temple and its surrounding land. The Pitti family maintained it as private property until 1954.
