Sharana Basaveshwara Temple is located in the Kalaburgi district of Karnataka. Sharana Basaveshwara was a disciple in the spiritual tradition of Basavanna, the 12th-century social reformer and founder of Lingayat Dharma. His life and works are considered inspirational, especially among Lingayats and followers of Veerashaivism.  Sharan Basaveshwar Jatra Mahotsav is the day when a large number of people come to have darshan of the Lord. Held every year during March or April. This temple is built on 36 pillars, which is its main feature. The temple's main significance is as a symbol of social harmony, devotion, and reformist values.
