The Shukreswar Temple is located in the city of Guwahati, Assam, India. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. You can enjoy Sitting on the steps of Sukreswar ghat and seeing the sun setting on the river and boats moving across the river. It has one of the largest Lingams of Lord Shiva. The temple was built by Ahom King Parramatta Singha in the year 1744.

The temple is well known, as it is known as the home of the sixth jyotirlinga of India. It is believed that the last rituals of the person are carried out here, then they 'get'moksha’ directly and are kept at peace after death. Thus, this importance attracts the people to this temple, and many devotees visit this temple to have the darshan of the divine Shivlinga there.
