The Sindhu Center in Norwalk, California—also known as the Sindhi Association of Southern California (SASC) community center—serves as a vibrant cultural and spiritual hub for the local Sindhi Hindu community. Located at 14117 Clarkdale Ave, Norwalk, CA 90650, it operates as a mandir (Hindu temple) while offering a broad array of religious, social, and cultural programs. Throughout the year, the Center hosts satsangs, kirtans, jagrans, and celebrations of key festivals such as Teejri, Mata Ka Jagran, and Janmashtami. It also offers free yoga sessions on weekend mornings and organizes social gatherings and youth events—activities remembered fondly by community members since the 1990s. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, SASC seeks to strengthen interpersonal bonds, preserve Sindhi heritage, and provide a welcoming space for all ages—welcoming around 22 million NRIs across its network. With a friendly atmosphere, regular programming, and active involvement in cultural preservation, the Sindhu Center is central to Sindhi identity in Southern California.
