Sri Ganesh Temple, Secunderabad, is famous for its beautiful architecture and its history. It is believed that the idol of Ganesha was discovered by soldiers in the Madras Regiment while they were digging a well in 1824,  and it was installed by Adi Shankaracharya of Kanchi Peetham based on Agama sashtra.
