About Sri Natha Devalaya -Kandy

Sri Natha Devalaya is one of the oldest and most important shrines in Kandy, located inside the sacred Temple of the Tooth complex. It is dedicated to deity Natha, believed to be a guardian of Sri Lanka and a protector of Lord Buddha’s teachings. The shrine has beautiful ancient stone carvings, wooden pillars, and traditional Kandyan architecture. Many kings worshipped here before their coronation. The atmosphere is peaceful, and devotees come to pray for protection, good health, and blessings. It is a calm and spiritual place that shows the deep history and culture of Kandy.
