The Tara Devi Temple is a Hindu temple located in the city of Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, India. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Tara. The temple was built during the year 1766 A.D. by the Sen dynasty. According to a story that traces back to 250 years, the king Bhupendra Sen built the temple and after he had a vision in which Goddess Tara Devi asked him to install a template there so that people could get her blessings. He also installed a wooden statue of the goddess there.
