About The Murugan Temple
The Murugan Temple is dedicated to Murugan. It is second among the six abodes of Murugan. One of the six main abodes, or holy temples, of the Kaumaram religion is Tiruchendur. The temple offers two performances: Kanda Shasti, a devotional song in honour of Murugan and Soorasamharam, a reenactment of the victory over Soorapadman. Thai pusam is one of the main festival celebrations in the Murugan temples. November to January are the best times to visit this temple.
