Vindhyavasini Vijayasan Mata Mandir is dedicated to Goddess Vindhyavasini who is a form of Goddess Durga. This temple is also known as Bijasan Mata Mandir. It is a revered Hindu temple situated on a huge hill in Salkanpur, Madhya Pradesh. It is a sacred Siddhapeeth about 70 km from Bhopal. In this temple, the goddess is depicted as Parvati, and the idols of Lord Bhairav, Goddess Saraswati and Goddess Lakshmi are also present in the courtyard of the temple. It is believed that this temple was built by the Gonds around 1100 AD. Vindhyavasini Vijayasan Mata Mandir is associated with the story of Goddess Durga and the demon Raktabeej in which Goddess Durga killed the demon Raktabeej. From the hill of this temple, a beautiful view of the surrounding forests and hills is visible.
