Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple
Srirangam Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Ranganathar located in Srirangam, Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu. It is one of the most important temples for worshipping Lord Vishnu. Also known by other names like Ranganathaswamy Temple, Ranganathar Temple and Sri Ranganatha Temple. Ranganathaswamy Temple is home to Lord Ranganatha, a form of Lord Vishnu in a lying down pose. This Temple is constructed in Hindu architectural style and is believed to be constructed during the Vijayanagara period in 1336 A.D. to 1565 A.D and worships the Thenkalai tradition of Vaishnavism.
