Temples in Warangal

The Thousand Pillars Temple is located in the city of Nizamabad, Telagana, India. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu, Lord Surya. The temple is believed to be built during the period of 1175 to 1324 A.D by the King Rudra Deva. The temple was renovated in the year 2004 by the Government of India. Archaeological Survey of India and modern engineers have been working for the temple's further renovation.

The Sri Bhadrakali Temple is located in the city of Warangal, Telangana, India. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Kali. The temple is known as one of the oldest temple dedicated to Goddess Kali which is believed to be built in the year 625 A.D by the King Pulakeshin II of Chalukya dynasty to celebrate his victory over Vengi region of Andhra Desham as per the writings on the wall of the temple. Later Goddess Kali was considered as the Kuldevi of the Kakatiya kings and they also adopted the temple.
