In Jajpur, Odisha, the Biraja Devi Temple is a major Shakti Peetha where Goddess Biraja is worshipped as a two-handed form of godess Durga. The temple complex is famous for its vast number of Shiva lings, Specifically housing 108 Shivlings and symbolically a "Koti" or one crore Lingas. While the primary focus of the temple is Goddess Biraja, the Shivlings within the complex are central to daily spiritual activities Like Devotees perform Abhishek (sacred bathing) on the Lingas as part of their pilgrimage. The ritual involves Panchamrut Snan, which uses a mixture of milk, curd, ghee, honey, and sugar which is followed By Shudodhaka Snan (bathing with pure water). Offering  Bilwa leaves (Bel patra), flowers, and incense are made to these Shivlings by devotees and local priests. Jajpur is considered as "Biraja Kshetra" and "Nabhi Gaya," performing rituals here includes Shivling Abhishek, is believed to cleanse devotees of sins and provide moksha for ancestors.

It will start with making a sankalp, stating your name and the purpose for the puja to the preist. every linga is wiped clean before performing the ritual. the holy liquids is poured on each shivling with the Chanting om namah shivay mantra or shiv mantras. after the bath, vibhuti means sacred ash and sandalwood paste is applied on the shivling and bilva patra is placed on the top  of the shivling. and then Devotee has to circumambulate the temple at least three times as part of preparation and repect for the god and goddees. and then puja ends with the ceremonial aarti
