The pavman Abhishek is a ritual of purification and devotion. "Pavman" signifies purity, while "Abhishek" means anointment or bathing.
At first, Sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees, and then the invocation of the lord Dnyaneshwar is done. Then the Abhishek is done by the pujari with the Panchamrit and shlokas and mantras are chanted by the pujari while doing the Abhishek.
