Durga Saptashati Puja is dedicated to Goddess Durga, this puja is also known as Chandi Path. 13 chapters are read in one Durga Saptashati paath. Durga Saptashati is a religious text in which the greatness of Goddess Durga is described. It is considered a part of Markandeya Purana. It has 700 verses, hence it is also called Durga Saptashati.
At first, Sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. After that, Goddess Durga is invoked by the Pujari ji and anointed with Panchamrit by the devotees, in which milk, curd, sugar, honey, Ganga water etc are used. After that, Chunri and coconut are offered to Goddess Durga and Namak Chamak Paath is done with chanting mantras. At last, Aarti is done and blessing are taken by the devotees.
