Narsingh ji Havan also known as Narsingh ji Homam is a ritual performed in the Joshimath temple to worship the Lord Narsingh ji, One of the avatars of Lord Vishnu. He's known for his powerful and Protective nature, Also called upon to get rid of evil and protect devotees from harm.
The Havan begins with the Invocation of Shri Ganesh to remove all the obstacles. Afterwards, Panch dev Pujan is done to take the blessings of the five gods which are Ganesha, Adi Shakti, Shiva, Vishnu and Surya signifying the Five elements. Then Lord Narsingh ji is invoked to perform the Havan. Devotees offer Ghee and other samagri in the havan kund while chanting mantras. Then the Havan concludes with the Arti and Prasad is offered to the devotees.
