In Hindu religion, there are sixteen sanskars in total, Mundan is the eighth sanskar among them. Mundan is considered an important among all the sixteen sanskar. The mundan sanskar us also known as chudakaran. In this ritual shaving a baby's head for the first time. Then the devotee's head is washed with Ganga Jal. Turmeric and sandalwood paste is applied on the devotee's head this paste will help in healing the cuts. Then the hair of the devotee is offered in front of the idol of God or is flown in the river.
