Kaal Sarp Shanti Puja is a special Vedic ritual performed to reduce the negative effects of Kaal Sarp Dosh in a person’s horoscope. This dosh is believed to cause delays, struggles, fear, health problems, and obstacles in career, marriage, and finances. Performing this puja at the holy Triveni Ghat near Somnath, where three rivers meet, is considered very powerful. The puja is done by experienced priests with proper mantras to bring relief, peace, and positive changes in life.
The puja begins with sankalp, taking the devotee’s name, gotra, and purpose. The priest worships Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu, and the Navagrahas. A symbolic serpent is worshipped, and milk, water, flowers, and sesame seeds are offered with Vedic mantras. Abhishek is performed, followed by mantra chanting for Rahu and Ketu. The puja ends with aarti, daan, and prayers for dosh shanti and well-being.
