Kanak Dhara Puja In Shri Someshwar Mahadev Mandir (Prayagraj)

Kanak Dhara Puja is a sacred Hindu ritual dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, prosperity, abundance, and good fortune. The puja is associated with the Kanak Dhara Stotram, traditionally attributed to Adi Shankaracharya, which is recited to seek the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi. Devotees perform this puja with faith and devotion to pray for financial stability, prosperity, peace, and the removal of obstacles in life. It is also performed to invite positive energy, encourage harmony within the family, and seek divine blessings for success in personal and professional life.

The Kanak Dhara Puja starts with a Sankalp taken in the name of the devotee and their family, then Ganesh Puja is done to seek blessings for the successful completion of the ritual. Goddess Lakshmi is then worshipped with flowers, kumkum and other traditional offerings. The priest recites the Kanak Dhara Stotram and performs Lakshmi Mantra Jaap to invoke the blessings of the Goddess for prosperity and abundance. Lakshmi Aarti is done and prayers for financial stability, family well-being and overall auspiciousness. Rituals may vary according to the priest and family traditions.
