The maha mrityunjay havan which was also known as maha sanjeevani yagna is a powerfull Vedic fire ritual which is dedicated to lord shiva in his form as mrityunjay the, conqueror of death. it is performed To seek divine protection, healing and longevity. the ritual centers on the maha mrityunjay mantra, which is believed to create divine vibrations that purify the mind, body, surroundings. the term maha Mrityunjaya translates to great victory over death mainly its role is seildinig devotees from untimely death and severe health crises.

Sankalp is taken in the name of devotee and purpose of the havan. and then lord ganesh is invoked to remove obstacles. then establishment of a holy pot filled with water, mango leaves and coconut. then Mantra is chanted typically 108, 1008 or even 125000 times by priests by using rudraksha beads. offering (ahutis) of ghee, herbs and samagri into the sacred fire while chanting. and in last offering followed by Arti and the distribution of prasad.
