Shiv Panchamrut Pujan is a sacred ritual performed at Somnath City to Puja Lord Shiva with deep devotion. In this puja, the Shivling is bathed with five holy items called Panchamrut—milk, curd, ghee, honey, and sugar—along with water and sacred mantras. This ritual is done to please Lord Shiva and seek his blessings. Shiv Panchamrut Pujan helps remove sins, purify the mind and soul, and bring peace, health, prosperity, and spiritual growth. Performing this puja near the holy Somnath Temple is believed to give special divine blessings and positive energy.
Shiv Panchamrut Pujan starts with sankalp by the devotee. The priest performs Abhishek of the Shivling using Panchamrut, followed by water and Ganga jal. Vedic mantras and Shiva stotras are chanted. Flowers, bilva leaves, incense, and lamp are offered to Lord Shiva. The puja ends with aarti, prasad, and prayers for blessings, peace, and fulfillment of wishes.
