Tripindi sharadh is a sacred hindu ritual performed to offer peace and libration to the souls of departed ancestors who may not have attained satisfaction due to incomplete rites, untimely death, ancestral karmic issues or neglected shradh ceremonies. the ritual is especially dedicated to three generations of ancestors and is believed to help remove ancestral obstacles known as pitru dosha.
At first devotee take a bath in the holy river. Then Sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. Pujari creates balls from rice and jaggery and then devotees offer these balls to pitru. Then mantras are chanted and a water offering is done to the ancestors.
