About
Invoking the blessings of Lord Hayagriva, a horse-faced manifestation of Lord Vishnu who is regarded as the divine source of wisdom, memory, learning, and knowledge, is the purpose of Sri Hayagriva Homam. Students, scholars, educators, and professionals who are looking for intellectual clarity, spiritual development, and academic excellence are especially encouraged to listen to this homam. It is also done to get rid of distraction, forgetfulness, and confusion in daily life.
After Ganapati Puja, which removes obstacles, the devotee expresses their intent during Sankalpam. Sacred mantras are then used to invoke the deity and perform Hayagriva Avahanam. In order to symbolise divine energy, a Kalash Sthapana is performed. The priest chants His 108 or 1000 names in order to perform Hayagriva Archana. This is followed by the main homam, where offerings are made into the sacred fire, including ghee, herbs, and educational symbols like books or pens. To enliven the ceremony, the mantra "Om Hayagrivaya Namah" is chanted continuously. Maha Aarti and the giving of Prasadam to all devotees mark the end of the homam.
