About
Maa Bagalamukhi Puja and Hawan is a ritual performed in Birbhum involving traditional puja and Hawan dedicated to Goddess Baglamukhi. This ceremony is performed to seek blessing and protection from the Goddess who is believed to have the power to destroy negative forces, enemies and obstacles.
At first, Sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. Then invoking of Goddess Baglamukhi is done with mantras and prayers by the pujari. Then offerings of things like fruits, flowers, etc. are done by the pujari. Than jaap 18,000 of Maa Baglamukhi is done along with an offering of Bel patra by the pujari. Then Hawan of Ma Baglamukhi is done and at last aarti is done by the pujari and the puja is completed.
