About
Tripindi Shraddh Puja at Badrinath is a sacred ritual performed for ancestors’ peace and salvation. It is done when the annual shraddh rituals of forefathers have been missed for three consecutive years. At the holy Badrinath Dham, this puja helps liberate departed souls from unfulfilled desires and ensures their blessings for the family. Devotees offer pind daan, tarpan, and prayers near the Alaknanda River, seeking relief from Pitru dosha and harmony, prosperity, and spiritual upliftment in life.
Tripindi Shraddh Puja Vidhi at Badrinath begins with Sankalp (taking a vow) by the devotee with the help of a priest. The puja is done near the sacred Alaknanda River. Pind daan is offered using rice, black sesame, barley, and water along with prayers for ancestors. Tarpan is performed to invite and satisfy the souls. Mantras are chanted, havan is done, and finally blessings are sought for peace, removal of Pitru dosha, and family wellbeing.
