Gita Mandir, located at Gaulok Dham in Somnath, is a temple dedicated to Lord Shree Krishna. It was built in the year 1970 by the Birla group. Gita Mandir is said to be at the spot where Lord Krishna rested before leaving for 'Neej Dham,' marking the end of Dwapar Yuga. The Gita Mandir is famous for its holy book, Bhagavad Gita and wall paintings of Lord Krishna. The highlight of the Gita Mandir is its eighteen marble pillars, each decorated with one of the eighteen Adhyayas of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, whose shape and design are created on them.
