About Kirti Mandir

The Kirti Mandir is located in the city of Vadodara, Gujarat. The temple was built in 1936 A.D. by Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad as it is believed that Sayajirao Maharaja built Kirti Mandir in the memory of deceased members of the royal Gaekwad family. The Golden era in the Maratha rule of Baroda started when Sayajirao Maharaja came into power in 1875 A.D. and brought a number of changes to the city. Festivals like Rangoli are celebrated during Diwali days and the entire place and its main hall become very colourful with various Rangoli made by the finest and most talented artists of Gujarat.
