Shri Ashtalakshmi Temple Chennai

The Sri Ashtalakshmi Temple is located on the Chennai coastline, close to Elliot's Beach. It is the place of worship for eight (Ashta) manifestations of Maha Lakshmi in addition to Lord Lakshmi Narayana. Maha Lakshmi, Dhanya Lakshmi, Dhairya Lakshmi, Rajya Lakshmi, Santhana Lakshmi, Jaya Lakshmi, Veera Lakshmi and Dhana Lakshmi are the eight forms of Maha Lakshmi. This temple has nine distinct sanctums, with four levels containing the Ashtalakshmis, the eighth form of the goddess Lakshmi. Festival celebrations at this temple include Navratri, Diwali and Pongal.
