Shri Siddarameshwar Devasthan - Solapur

Shri Siddheshwar Temple is a major religious place located in Solapur, Maharashtra, which is considered extremely sacred for the devotees of Lord Shiva. According to the records, the Siddheshwar temple was built by Shri Siddharameshwar, who was a yogi and a devotee of Shri Mallikarjuna of Srisailam. He built this temple and installed 68 Lingas in the temple as per the instructions of his guru. It is said that prosperity started coming to Solapur city at the time of birth of Shri Siddheshwar, in which Lingayat religion is also considered as the fifth deity and devotees take blessings of this deity.
