Shri Tilbhandeshwar Mahadev Mandir, also known as Tilbhandeshwar Mandir, is a historic temple in Varanasi, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Built in the 18th century, 500 meters from the Ganges River. The temple is renowned for its self-formed Shiv Lingam, believed to have appeared 2,500 years ago and grown each year to the size of a sesame seed. Today, the Shiv Lingam reaches 3.5 feet in height, with a base diameter of about 3 feet. Mahashivratri, Nag Panchami, Shravan, Navratri, Makar Sankranti and Ayyappan Pooja are important festivals celebrated here. The best time to visit this temple is from July to August during Srawan Mela.
