Kaal Bhairav Mandir is one of the oldest Shiva temples in Varanasi, India. Situated in Bharonath, Varanasi, This temple has great historical and cultural importance in Hinduism. The temple is dedicated to Bhairava. A Cruel form of Shiva wears a Chain of skulls and carries a club of peacock feathers. The word "Kaal" means both "death" and "time". Kaal Bhairav also means the one who removes the fear of both death and time.

The Birla temple is located inside banaras hindu university(BHU)in Varanasi, the temple is 1.7 Km from the main gate. It has the highest temple tower in the world 77 metres long and is completely made of marble. Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple was established in the 16th century 1982 A.D. by the famous poet Tulsidas. It is located in Varanasi Uttar Pradesh, India. The meaning of Sankat Mochan means the one who removes troubles and sorrows, as it is a powerful spiritual place. Every Tuesday and Saturday people gather for prayers to lord hanuman. According to Vedic astrology, people who have Saturn at the wrong place in their horoscope specially visit this temple for astrological remedies. As some astrologers believe that worshipping lord hanuman can protect us from the bad effects of Mars and Saturn. Every year in the month of April sankat mochan music festival is organized for the last 88 years, it is called the sangeet samaroh and dance ceremony.

The Temple is one of the most photographed locations in Varanasi, situated at the Manikarnika Ghat built in the 19th century. The temple was built extremely close to the Ganges River and has developed a nine-degree slant shape, It is also called Kashi Karvat built by the queen of Gwalior or the Amethi royal family.

The temple is also known as Vishalakshi Gauri Temple located at Meer Ghat on the bank of the holy river Ganga in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. The temple is considered Shakti Pitha, the holiest temple devoted to the Hindu divine mother, Adishakti.According to Puranas,Vishalakshi manikarnika is one of the 52 Shakti Peethas. Vishalakshi temple of Kashi is mentioned in Devi Purana. Vishalakshi literally the large-eyed, an epithet of Parvati wife of lord Shiva.
