About Sree Ayyappan-Guruvayurappan Temple

The famous Ayyappan Guruvayurappan temples at Mahalingapuram in Chennai are maintained by Sree Ayyappa Bhaktha Sabha. The main gods of the temple are Guruvayurappan and Ayyappaswamy. Many people wanted to pray to Ayyappan, especially before visiting another holy place named Sabarimala. Therefore, the temple was constructed in 1974. Vrishchika Ekadasi is an important festival in this temple. The best time to visit is from October to February.
