About Chennai Sri Kaalikambal Kamadeswarar Temple

Sri Kaalikambal Kamadeswarar Temple, located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, is dedicated to Kamadeswarar, a form of Lord Shiva. The temple was originally located closer to the seashore at the site of the present-day Fort St. George. Other shrines in the temple include Shiddi Vinayakar (Ganesh), Shiddi-Bhuddi Vinayakar (Ganesh), Agora Veerabadhra and Pratyangira. Aadi Pooram, Aadi Krithikai, Ganesh Chathurthi, Navarathri and Skanda Shashti in the Tamil month of Karthikai are important festivals of the temple. November to February are the best times to visit this temple.
