About Sri Krishna Temple

Sri Krishna Temple is located in Hampi, Karnataka and is dedicated to Lord Balakrishna. The king, Krishnadevaraya, built this temple in 1513 AD in order to celebrate the retaking of the eastern kingdom of Udayagiri, or Utkala (in the present-day state of Orissa). It is on the World Heritage Monuments List of UNESCO. Festivals celebrated at this temple are Janmashtami, Hodi, Hampi Utsav, etc. The best time to visit Sri Krishna Temple is between November and February.
