Sun Temple in Ranchi

The sun temple is located near the ranchi is a modern architectural marvel dedicated to the surya dev. this temple is famous for its unique chariot-shaped design. temple is situated at Edalhatu village near Bundu, approximately 40 km from Ranchi city center. this temple was constructed by sanskriti vihar, a charitalble trust headed by shri sita ram maroo, managing director of the ranchi express group. designed to resemble a massive celestial chariot with 18 wheels (9 on each side) pulled by seven life-like white horses. chhath puja is the most significant festival celebrated here in October or November. devotees gather here to offer prayers to the sun at the sacred pond (kund) within the complex.
