Chowallur Siva Temple is an ancient Hindu temple located in Guruvayur, Kerala, India. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. According to folklore, sage Parashurama has installed the idol. The temple is a part of the 108 famous Shiva temples in Kerala and one among the five Shiva temples around Guruvayoor. Only Hindus are allowed inside the temple premises. Daily three poojas are conducted for Lord Shiva.
Dedicated to Sri Chamundeswari; an incarnation of Lord Durga, this centuries old temple is very close to Guruvayoor. There is a separate shrine situated in the premises devoted to Thazhthukavu Bhagavathi. Located in the area of Guruvayoor Temple, at a distance of 9 km from Trivandrum. Chamundeswari Devi, an honored form of Goddess Durga. The idol of Chamundeswari Devi is created of five metals namely gold, lead, copper, iron and silver. The architectural feature of the temple includes a beautiful exterior.
