Azhimala Shiva Temple
The Azhimala Shiva temple is near Vishinjam in Thiruvananthapuram district, Kerala. The temple is known for its 58 feet tall Statue of Lord Shiva in Gangadhareshwara while the construction of the statue was started in 2014 and was opened for public on 31 December 2020. Along with Lord Shiva many other deities are also worship like Ganpati and Parvati. Festivals are also celebrated like Naranga Vilakku, Maha Shivratri and many more. The best time to visit the temple is during Maha Shivratri festivals also puja such as Udayasthamaya, Pradhosham, Uma Maheshwari, and Divasa are some of the important Pujas conducted in the temple.
Kovalam is located 16 Km away from the capital city of Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala.
