Sri Lakshmi Narayani Golden Temple is located at the base of a small range of verdant hills, in Thirumalaikodi, Vellore, Tamil Nadu. Dedicated to Sri Lakshmi Narayani or Maha Lakshmi. With its rich gold covering, the temple is the product of the labour-intensive effort of gold-specialising workers. Navaratri is an important festival for this temple. October to March are the best times to visit this temple.

Jalakandeswarar Temple

Jalakandeswarar Temple is located in Vellore, Tamil Nadu. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is a fine example of Vijayanagaram architecture. The temple is surrounded by water in the shape of a ring since it is situated in the centre of a water tank. The major festivals celebrated at the temple are Vinayaka Chaturthi, Chaitra Poornima, Mahashivaratri, Aadipooram and Navarathri. The best time to visit this temple is during April, May and October or November.
