With its rich gold covering, the temple is the product of the labour-intensive effort of gold-specialising workers. Navaratri is an important festival for this temple. Jalakandeswarar Temple

Jalakandeswarar Temple is located in Vellore, Tamil Nadu. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is a fine example of Vijayanagaram architecture. The temple is surrounded by water in the shape of a ring since it is situated in the centre of a water tank.
