Navagraha Havan is performed to appease all the nine Grahas and reduce the malefic effects of the planets in one’s life. The term "Navagraha" means nine celestial bodies in Sanskrit where nava means nine and Graha means planet or celestial body. These planets include Surya (Sun), Chandra (Moon), Mangala (Mars), Budha (Mercury), Brihaspati (Jupiter), Shukra (Venus), Shani (Saturn), Rahu (North Lunar Node) and Ketu (South Lunar Node). The Navagraha Havanat Durgiana Temple is performed to take blessings for a good life including health, wealth, family and overall well-being.
