Panchamrit Rudrabhishek puja is a sacred ritual of bathing the Shivling with Panchamrit, a mixture of milk, curd, honey, ghee and sugar, followed by Rudrabhishek. Rudrabhishek includes chanting Vedic mantras and offering bilva leaves, water and flowers. Bhimashakar Panchamrit Rudrabhishek puja is done to seek blessings from Lord Shiva. The best time to perform Panchamrit puja in Bhimashankar Temple is during Maha Shivaratri, Shravan Month or Somvar (Monday), Pradosh Vrat days and during birthday or anniversary.

At first, Sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. Then devotees invoke Lord Shiva with mantras and prayers chanted by the pujari. After that, milk, curd, honey, sugar and ghee are used for Abhishek on Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga along with mantras chanted by the pujari.
